Our projects carry with them a special element of accreditation of practical language skills through Oxford and Cambridge Recognition Asset Languages (OCR) a unique assessment scheme to support language learning from Primary through to Adult Education.

Launched in 2005, Asset Languages was a key element of the National Languages Strategy and provides accreditation for the Languages Ladder (A system moving learners from Breakthrough, Preliminary, Intermediate to Advanced Stage). Asset has attracted around 2000 schools and colleges and is a main alternative language qualification.

External assessments are accredited by the main regulatory authorities and lead to a nationally recognized OCR qualification Preliminary and Intermediate external assessments contribute towards the achievement and attainment points of any school. Each individual skill – listening, speaking, reading and writing – forms a separate qualification (www.ocr.org.uk/qualifications/by-type/asset-languages)

Mission
Mind Your Language promotes the learning of the French and English Language and knowledge of diverse cultures that embrace them to children of all ages. We believe that Children have the greatest capacity to assimilate a new language and are more likely to attain fluency and indigenous pronunciation than adult learners. MYL is particularly concerned with emphasizing the multicultural element in language learning and demonstrating its global impact, thus increasing children’s knowledge of other subject areas such as History, English and French Cultures.

We are committed to providing an affordable service working in partnership with local authorities, schools, local and international organizations to ensure equal opportunity in modern and foreign Language learning.
